Hello,

Built between 1762 and 1768, the Petit Trianon is a masterpiece of neoclassical French.
Building square of 23 meters square, the pavilion is built on a slope it

The ceiling of the Queen's chamber is greatly reduced compared to other parts of the stage to create the upper level of the mezzanine. The rustic furniture with motifs (corn cobs, woven wicker, flowers ...) drawn by Georges Jacob addresses the central theme of the Petit Trianon: an ode to nature. Mahogany furniture complement signed by the cabinetmaker Schwerdfeger disappeared.

Marie Antoinette was construct that boudoir especially in a room adjoining his room, the location of the stairs leading to the private apartments of Louis XV. All windows can be closed by mirrors through a mechanical system.

Jeanne-Louise-Henriette Campan, First Lady of the Chamber in 1786, and all the service of the Queen, staying above his apartments, on the mezzanine. Library Queen was built according to the wishes of the Queen at the location of the corner room of Louis XV. Latticed cabinets that had disappeared were rebuilt in 2008 following the plans of the architect Mique dated 1780.

The corner room is the only part arranged for Louis XVI in 1777, the latter having kept the furniture from his grandfather for the rest of the apartment. It is located at the site of the former private staircase of Louis XV. The office was made by the cabinetmaker Riesener.


The parlor of Madame Elisabeth, this piece evokes Madame Elizabeth, sister of Louis XVI installed at the Petit Trianon in 1782. She enjoys picturesque views of the English Garden and Belvedere. It was occupied later by the royal bodyguards.


This room belonged to the Empress Marie-Louise and the Duchess of Orleans. The bed, much broader than those of Louis XVI, was directed by the cabinetmaker Lemarchand. The seats were covered with a purl silk decorated with a blue border "blue, yellow, wooden, like the tapestry in 2008 returned .

The room of the Empress Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon III was the first to try to rehabilitate the memory of Marie-Antoinette for which she had great admiration.
