Fifth Disease And Teething

Finally, open peonies in my garden!

Hello,

Finally, in my garden that is large peony blossoms, whose petals evoke the delicate fabric ruffled tutus dancing, offer spring unforgettable moments of grace. Regarded by the Chinese as the queen of flowers, the peony could dethrone the rose in the heart of some gardeners, thanks to its delicate flavor and generous flowering. In clumps or bunches, the season lasts only a few peonies weeks. More reason to enjoy ...

Botanists distinguish two types of peonies: herbaceous peonies, such as peonies from China, which has about 35 species and thousands hybrids, and tree peonies (mine), whose trunk wood can reach nearly 2 meters tall. Of the family Ranunculaceae, peonies (Paeonia ) are subtly scented and come in pink, red, purple or white.

In Greece, the peony was considered a medicinal plant in ancient times. Hippocrates prescribed seed for women to bring their rules, while Theophrastus recommended to pick this magical plant at night to avoid being put out the eyes by a woodpecker! In China, the peony has been cultivated since the seventh century. It symbolizes feminine beauty, love, honor and wealth.

Peonies like full sun and rich soil and acidic. They need space and can not bear to be grown in pots or trays. They like well drained soils: Avoid mulching, which conserves soil moisture, and feel free to regularly hoeing the earth around them. It may take several years before a plant could flourish, but after flowering is more generous each year.

You know that the language of peonies is modesty and sincerity

Paint For Plastic Bath Shower Wall

The hamlet of the Queen of France

Hello,

Following the example of the Prince de Conde in Chantilly, Queen Marie Antoinette wants to enjoy his own village pleasures of the countryside with his children. From 1783 to 1785, Richard Mique built Hamlet, Norman style, drawing on designs by the painter Hubert Robert. Twelve cottages surrounded by gardens and florists, were originally located around Grand Lake.

A little distance away was the farm where the queen that he gets the milk used in china Paris in the Dairy, which has a beautiful clean white marble table rebuilt under Napoleon. Located at the foot of the tower of the Fishery, also called Tower of Marlborough, the first construction of Hamlet (1783), it is doubled by a dairy preparation (destroyed).

Marie Antoinette had her own house, the only covered with tiles. The ground floor was occupied by a dining room upstairs were a guard room, a lounge and gaming firm luxuriously furnished this house by Georges Jacob and Jean-Henri was connected to by Billard a wooden gallery.

On the stairs were placed flower pots at the figure of the queen, earthenware St. Clement (manufacture of Lorraine). The intimate that Marie Antoinette invited to the little village also enjoyed all the amenities.

La Grange (destroyed) was used as a ballroom, and there was even a boudoir near the Queen's House . The remaining mill with its waterwheel, Guard House, the Dovecote and the Warming (kitchen).

Contrary to popular belief, this Hamlet was not a creation of operetta. It was a real farm, run by a farmer, whose products fed the kitchens of the Castle.

Under the First Empire, the Hamlet is tastefully refurnished the Empress Marie-Louise (1811). In the early twentieth century buildings are restored through the generosity of John D. Rockefeller Jr. and his children.

More recently, the Mill has enjoyed the patronage of Peugeot SA. The farm is to be given up since 1993 in association Assisting Animals that work to restore and enliven it.
